The indicators are tucked into the extended fairing in front of the fuel tank, while the tank itself has been split in half to make a small but very useable, lockable, compartment. Capacity has gone down to eight litres, but the bike can still cover a range in excess of 500km without any trouble. The black theme claims one more in the Flame and the triangular exhaust clearly draws inspiration from Suzuki. The engine itself is quite smooth and has decent amounts of power. The three-valve set up works very well, especially for fuel efficiency. You can cruise at a comfortable 40kph in fourth gear and have the instant mileage indicator read out stupendous efficiency figures, or you can whack the throttle open and see 100kph come up on the digital instruments. There isn’t a reserve tap on this one, so you need to watch out for the low-fuel warning lamp. However, with the sort of efficiency that is being claimed, you can probably give the Flame a sniff of petrol and ride it for another
