We can vouch for this one. The Linea, a simplified, saloonified version of the Grande Punto, is a tough, talented car, and Fiat’s mini-Maserati is just as roomy and comfortable, and actually more refined.Typically European in feel, it should be a worthy step-up from the much-loved Palio when it lands up in the first half of next year. It rides extremely well, handles like a far more expensive car, and as long as Fiat can get the economy thing sorted, it should be the start of the company’s recovery here.
